Sunny Side Physio is a physiotherapy practice located in the heart of Somerton Park. We operate out of the lovely cafe called Summertown Studio, offering a truly unique physiotherapy experience!

Our location boasts delicious coffee, a food truck out the front, a pilates studio upstairs, a flower shop and gift shop! It’s a hive of activity and we can’t wait for you to enjoy it too (with your free coffee on us after your first appointment!).

Sophie is a private practice physio who loves coffee, her dog Digby and running. She loves a challenge and see’s physiotherapy like a puzzle that needs solving.

What We Offer

General Physio

We treat all aches and pains! Including neck, shoulders, headaches, low back pain, tennis elbow, hip bursitis, knee and ankles injuries (the list goes on!)
We use a combination of hands-on treatment with dry needling, cupping and therapeutic ultrasound to achieve quicker results.
Dry Needling

Dry needling is an effective treatment technique used by our Physiotherapists to reduce the pain caused by trigger points within the muscle. Talk to your physio if you would like to add this to your sessions.
Pre & Postnatal

We look after your pre and postnatal aches and pains, so you can focus on you and your baby.
We use specialised Belly Pillows to allow you to lay on the bed comfortably and get treatment effectively. Please feel free to bring your little ones! We are a family friendly space.
Running

We love running! Whether you are wanting to start out or you’re an experienced runner, we have a passion for reducing those niggles and keeping you out on the pavement.
We provide education around gradual loading to safely ease you back into running without your pain coming back!
Mastitis Treatment

Mastitis is a common condition that occurs when breastfeeding, where the milk ducts become inflamed.
We use therapeutic ultrasound to ease the symptoms and provide relief. Book online if you would like treatment with us at Sunny Side for mastitis.
Cupping

Cupping is a great addition to hands-on treatment for muscular pain and tightness. Small plastic cups are used with a hand pump to suction the skin and encourage fresh blood supply to the area, which promotes natural healing. It is also pregnancy-safe!
