Our Method.
Our number one goal is to reduce your pain. We use massage, mobilsations, trigger point therapy, dry needling, cupping and therapeutic ultrasound to relieve your pain first and foremost!
Next, we get you moving. With pain and stiffness reduced, we get you moving again. This may look like simple mobility exercises or self-management strategies to do at home, in order to maintain your improvements from treatment!
Finally, once you are moving pain free, we start to strengthen your muscles so the pain doesn’t return in a few months time. We like long term gains!
Your First Appointment.
-
Come to Summertown Studio, head down to the back near the co-working space. If our door is open, come on in! If it's closed, then take a seat and we will collect you when it gets to your appointment time.
-
Next, we will ask a few questions about your injury or pain to get a clear picture of when it started and what makes it better or worse. We will then perform some tests to assist with an accurate diagnosis.
-
You will receive hands on treatment to start reducing your pain. This may consist of massage, mobilisations, trigger point therapy, cupping, dry needling or therapeutic ultrasound. You may also be given some things to try at home to make the effects of treatment last longer.
-
You will be emailed a treatment plan at the end, which will highlight your diagnosis, goals and treatment plan going forward. If necessary, we will book further appointments in the room. Collect your free coffee card at the end and you're done!

No, you don’t need a referral to see a physiotherapist as they are a primary practitioner.
However, if you have any supporting documents from your Dr or scan results, feel free to bring them along.
-
At your first appointment, we will ask you a few questions, do some tests to work out what’s going on and then provide hands-on treatment so you feel better than when you walked in!
We will then discuss a plan going forwards that is in line with your goals and what you want to get back to. We will then book further appointments (if needed) and process your payment.
-
We are able to see you if you are covered by DVA or using a Chronic Disease Management Plan (formally known as an EPC). Please bring your referral with you so we can process the payment. Please note, Medicare only covers a portion of the payment, so a gap may still apply.
Unfortunately, we do not see Work Cover patients.
